Experience two of Luddite’s signature wines in one carefully selected mixed case.
The Luddite Chenin is a bold expression of Chenin Blanc from Bot River, a grape that has always held a special place in the Luddites’ hearts. Made with a deliberately hands-off approach, batches of free-run and pressed juice are fermented naturally in old barrels, with a portion undergoing fermentation on the skins. No sulphur is added during the process, allowing the wine to develop its own character and express the nature of the fruit and its origins.
The Luddite Shiraz is the wine that established the Luddite name, with the first vintage produced in 2000. Rich, full-bodied and unmistakably individual, it reflects Niels Verburg’s philosophy that great wine starts with good grapes, good yeast and good barrels. The focus is on allowing the fruit to speak for itself rather than relying on high-tech intervention.
This six-bottle case includes three bottles of Luddite Chenin and three bottles of Luddite Shiraz, making it an ideal introduction to the Luddite range or a way to enjoy two of their most distinctive wines side by side.
